It’s taken me some time to get around to throwing my Europe trip videos together. This is the first stop…London, England.
More videos coming soon…or whenever I feel like it.

This is in front of the Pantheon in Rome, Italy. There are restaurants surrounding this fountain and musicians play every evening for tips. The lady is the usual singer, but she pulled this guy from some where to sing a duet. He has such a big voice that he doesn’t even need the mic. It was a very nice evening.
We went to this spot every evening for the food and music. We never saw these 2 people again….they were the best.
Ruby and Ed taking the train from Paris, France to Florence, Italy. It was a 12 hour overnight train…so we got a couchette. We bought snacks before boarding the train, but we finished those really quick. Kit Kat balls, Cadbury cookies, water, and Tropical Oasis. We even had some chips, but we ate those while we were waiting at the train station.
Ed almost made my pillow hit the ground, but I saved it with my legs…you’ll hear me squeal about my pillow.
We survived the train…no gypsy attacks. =)
We just got OWNED by some crazy rain and thunder in Rome!!!! We’re surviving on our very last pieces of clothing…so we had to use the hair dryer to dry off our clothes.
In Rome now. We have to pay for internet here and it’s a bit expensive so probably no new updates until I get home on Saturday night. Sorry. I’ll try…but they’ll probably be short.
Tomorrow=Vatican
Friday=Venice
Saturday=HOME!!!!!!!!!
All pics up this weekend.
Pisa Shiet
This morning we took the train to Pisa. We checked out the Leaning Tower of Pisa and it was not as amazing as I thought it would be. It’s actually pretty short and stout. Pisa is a small town. We only spent about 2 hours there.
We headed back to Florence…did more walking and a good amount of shopping. The trip is on it’s final leg…so we’re trying to get our presents for people. My luggage is definitely more full than when the trip started…just like I thought it would be. I hope it’ll be under 50 pounds…or i’ll get a $50 charge. I’ll figure it out.
Tomorrow we take the train to Rome. It’s the last stop on this adventure. We fly home Saturday morning. I’m excited to see my family and friends and share all our stories and presents.
**Ed titled this entry…”Pisa Shiet”
We called our parents yesterday through Skype. I had to call my parents again today because I didn’t really get to talk to them because they were on their way back from their Alaskan cruise. It was nice to hear from them and to hear my dogs in the background.
I’m having a great time in Europe, but it makes miss a few simple things. I miss: my cellphone, texting, driving, my tv shows, ordering food in ENGLISH, my doggies, and yes…family & friends.
We’re running low on clean clothes…we were originally planning on doing laundry while we were here, but it’s just more work than we’re willing to do right now. I thought maybe our 4 star hotel would have a laundry service like Vegas…but I guess Las Vegas 4 star is Europe’s 6 star. =) I bought 2 shirts and 2 light jackets because I like them and I need clothes. Don’t worry the most important thing is that I have enough clean undies…and I DO!!! I don’t know about Ed. hahaha.

After a little rest in the hotel we headed back into the town center. We got some dinner at a nice little restaurant. Our table was outside and there was a bit of a cool breeze. Ed got salmon and roasted potatoes, and I got fettucini alfredo….the creamiest alfredo i’ve ever had. I couldn’t finish it because the cream was just too much to handle and was affecting my stomach. Ed had a bite of it and it ruined him.
After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and enjoyed the view of the city at night.
An interesting thing about ordering water at a restaurant: the waiter asks “gas? or no gas?” I say “whhhaaaaat?” It just means sparkling water or mineral water.
Last night was weird. I got a crazy headache that would not leave me alone…i ended up sleeping super early, and I don’t know what Ed did.
Today we went to Uffizzi Gallery…saw the “Birth of Venus”. Then we walked around Florence…did a lot of shopping. I wish I could say I shopped for presents for other people, but I got a few things for myself…whatever! We ate calzones for lunch. Then of course we followed it with Gelato.
We somehow ended up at this “Green” convention place…it was interesting and a nice find.
We’re going to head back out tonight and see what everything looks like at night.
Tomorrow we’re going to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower.

Yesterday we checked out of our Paris hotel and had some time waste before our train to Florence. So we went to the Eiffel Tower…we didn’t go up…we just stayed around the area.
Then we caught our overnight train from Paris, France to Florence, Italy. It was a 12 hour ride…we had a little coach with bunk beds. My bed came out of the wall. It was surprisingly comfortable and we got a good amount of rest. It was a nice thing to experience, but a plane would serve the same purpose faster.
We couldn’t check into our Florence hotel until 2pm…hotels in Europe are so strict of check in times…annoying!!! Especially since we got into Florence around 8:30am. So we just walked around and ended up finding a lot of the museums and other areas we want to see.
Now we’re checked in and resting for a bit.
